- GSM CUTTER for is a specialized instrument to determine the GSM of the fabric (Woven, Non Woven or Knitted). Our sample cutter for GSM (g/m²) can be used to cut virtually any type of material including film, foam, carpet, paper and board.Specimen area that it cuts can be any where in the middle of the material or edge of the material. Diameter of the cutting area: 4.5"/ 11.5cm. Appx 2-3 layers of fabric/ normally better to cut 1 at a time, again depends how thick the fabric is. Sampling area: 100 c㎡. The weight of the cut sample is measured using an electronic balance, and multiplied by 100 to obtain the weight of 1㎡ of the sample.
- Warning:The blade is very sharp, do not place your hand at the bottom of the machine to avoid injury.
