- SCRUBS OUT THE LAST MATERIAL: 3D Clean is a blend of polymers with different densities that gives a soft scrubbing action. It expands slightly in the hot end to grab leftover filament, colorant and carbon specks and carries them out the nozzle. It does not foam, is not abrasive and has no glass fibers or chemicals, so it is safe for brass and hardened nozzles.
- USE IT WHEN YOU SWITCH MATERIALS: Going from high-temp to low-temp filament (nylon to PLA), from PLA to PCTG or PETG, from a dark color to white, or after wood-filled, glow in the dark and other filled filaments. Purging with the new filament alone often leaves a thin layer of the old one that shows up later as streaks, specks or weak layers.
- HOW TO PURGE: Heat to the previous materials print temperature or 230°C, whichever is higher, and feed 3D Clean until the output turns milky and translucent with no old color or black specks. A simple color change takes about half a stick; a big material change can take several. It works in high-flow nozzles where cold pulls dont. It cant clear a nozzle that is fully clogged; it needs to flow.
- 25 G COIL, 1.75MM: A 25 g coil of 1.75 mm 3D Clean. Feed it from outside the printer during a filament change, cut off what you used and keep the rest sealed for the next change.
