- Fits long scale 4-string electric bass: standard 45-105 set in .045, .065, .080 and .105 with 37 inches (940 mm) of winding from ball end to red silk; measure ball end anchor to nut, then to tuning post, and this set fits when 37 inches falls between the two
- Made in the UK: wound at Rotosounds own factory in Sevenoaks, Kent, by the company that has made strings in England since 1958, to the precise tolerances Rotosound built its name on
- How it sounds: bright, hard-hitting stainless steel roundwound tone with medium output, the Swing Bass 66 voice that moved the bass player from the back line to the front of the stage
- Who plays it: the roundwound James How and John Entwistle perfected into the industry standard, used by Geddy Lee, Chris Squire, Billy Sheehan and Duff McKagan, with the bright red silk ends you can spot from the crowd
- How it feels: Rotosounds published tension chart lists every string in this set, G 48.27 lbs, D 51.30 lbs, A 43.80 lbs and E 38.60 lbs, so you know the pull before you buy
