- BUILT-IN M.2 SSD ENCLOSURE, NOT JUST A HUB: The SABRENT HB-6PNV puts a real M.2 SSD enclosure inside a 6-port USB-C hub. Fit your own M.2 NVMe or SATA drive in the 2242, 2260 or 2280 form factor; the aluminum body and an integrated thermal pad keep it cool while it works. One integrated USB-C cable to your laptop gives you your ports and your storage in the same unit. Drive sold separately.
- 10GBPS TO THE LAPTOP, 5GBPS TO THE DRIVE: Know both numbers before you buy. The integrated USB-C cable connects to your computer at 10Gbps (USB 3.2 Gen 2x1). The internal M.2 slot runs at up to 5Gbps, which is quick for photos, project files and backups but is not the full rated speed of a modern NVMe drive. Two of the USB Type-A ports run at 5Gbps (USB 3.2 Gen 1x1, commonly called USB 3.0) at 5V/900mA, and a third Type-A port runs at 480Mbps (USB 2.0) for a keyboard or mouse.
- 4K 60HZ HDMI PLUS GIGABIT ETHERNET: Mirror or extend to one external display at up to 4K@60Hz through the HDMI 2.0 port, and drop onto wired Gigabit Ethernet (1GbE) through the RJ45 jack when the Wi-Fi will not hold. Video output requires a host that supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode (DP Alt Mode) - most USB-C laptops have it, but check yours first, because a USB-C port without DP Alt Mode carries data and no picture. One HDMI output, not two.
- 90W BYPASS CHARGING TO YOUR HOST DEVICE: Plug your own USB-C charger into the hub and up to 90W of USB Power Delivery (PD 3.0) passes straight through to the laptop or tablet on the other end, so one cable handles data and charging together. Worth being clear if you are shopping for a powered hub: that power goes to your host device, the USB Type-A ports supply 5V/900mA, and no charger or power adapter is included in the box.
- WIDE COMPATIBILITY, AND THE LIMITS IN PLAIN TERMS: Works with Windows, macOS and Linux - MacBooks, laptops, tablets, smartphones and handhelds including the Steam Deck and ASUS ROG Ally - and an onboard LED confirms the hub is live. The M.2 slot takes 2242, 2260 and 2280 drives only, so 2230 and 22110 drives will not fit, and there is no SD or microSD card reader on this model. In the box: the hub, an M.2 rubber fastener, the heatsink screw and screwdriver, and the user manual.
